No Scrubs AI video with lip-sync: you mouth the TLC chorus

Three of the six shots are lip-synced, and two of them belong to Photo 1. The left dancer (Photo 2) gets the first, short close-up and points at the lens. The lead (Photo 1) gets the second close-up, mouthing the chorus and wagging a finger, and later the overhead shot, looking up while singing with both palms on the walls. In the elevator ride and the group dance nobody is framed close enough for the mouth to matter, so faces just perform. If one friend is the better singer face, put them in Photo 1.

The 10 s video stops at 10 s, so it has both close-ups but not the overhead shot. The lyrics are not printed here; you can read them on Genius.

The video model draws every face silently, following a timed motion reference of the routine; when the video is finished, the chorus from that same reference is laid under the picture. Because the cuts, head moves and mouth openings come from the same timing as the sound, the close-ups read as singing along and land on the beat. What the model does not do is shape each word: lips open and close in rhythm, but you will not see every consonant. That is the honest limit of a one-click No Scrubs AI video. Tools that promise exact lip-sync usually run a second lip-sync pass on a separate audio track, which costs extra and often softens the face.

“No Scrubs” is TLC's single from the album FanMail (1999), written by Kandi Burruss, Tameka “Tiny” Cottle and Kevin “She'kspere” Briggs, with Chilli singing lead. A “scrub” in the song is a man with big talk and nothing behind it, who wants attention he hasn't earned; the chorus is a flat no. The single spent four weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and won two Grammys. The finger wag in the close-ups is that no, which is why it carries the AI trend. The song exists with and without Left Eye's rap verse; the trend clip is a stretch of the chorus, so people looking for clean lyrics for a school or brand account get the chorus only.

In October 2026 TikTok and Reels filled with AI remakes of the No Scrubs video starring ordinary people, friend groups, pets and game characters. Template makers date the first AI version to a post on 17 October 2026; it spread as the “No Scrubs AI trend” within days. Most posts keep the original's silver set and the order of shots, and the sound is the chorus.

• You can't upload your own song, voice or a different part of the track; every video has the same chorus.
